Mapping Out My Proposal
- 1. Research question:
o
Does the amount of water you drink affect your energy
levels?
2.
Hypothesis:
o
Yes, the amount of water you drink does affect
your energy levels because of how you feel when you’re hydrated versus when you’re
dehydrated.
3.
List the five sources you'll be using in the
proposal paper and a brief explanation of why they are the most important and
applicable to introduce your topic.
o
Laskey, J. (2015, February 16). The health
benefits of water. Everyday Health. https://www.everydayhealth.com/water-health/water-body-health.aspx
§
This article will benefit me because knowing the
health effects of dehydration can make people realize how important hydration
is. And knowing how dehydration brings you down can aid in my hypothesis that
drinking more water energizes you.
o
Marcin, A. (2018, November 2). How much water
you need to drink? Health Line. https://www.healthline.com/health/how-much-water-should-I-drink
§
While other articles list what can affect how
much water you should be drinking, this article by Marcin lists a rough
estimate that people should be drinking. In my paper, it can aid in me
explaining how I found the right amount that I should be drinking.
o
Roland, J. (2019, November 19). How to recognize
severe dehydration and what to do. Healthline. https://www.healthline.com/health/severe-dehydration
§
This is an important article because knowing the
causes and symptoms of dehydration and how to treat it can help me support my
hypothesis. I find that this article gets straight to the point of educating
about dehydration.
o
Tips for staying hydrated 24.7. (n.d.). Rite
Aid. https://www.riteaid.com/articles/tips-for-staying-hydrated-24-7
§
This paper is about my research in drinking the
right amount of water but listing other steps to stay hydrated besides drinking
water is something I believe is important to state.
o
Winderl, A. M. (2020, January 2). Here’s exactly
how much water you should drink every day. Self. https://www.self.com/story/how-much-water-should-you-drink-a-day
§
This article has everything I’m looking to
include in my paper. I will list the factors that affect how much water you should
drink. I will list how to stay hydrated, signs of dehydration, and the
possibilities of overhydration.
o Survey Questions:
§
How much water do you drink daily?
§
Do you know how much water you are meant to drink
daily?
§
Do you drink water every day?
§
Do you like water or would you rather drink
something else?
§
Do you know the benefits of drinking the
recommended amount of water?
§
If you knew the benefits do you think it would
encourage you to drink more water?
